hi, i’m julyaA UX designer & researcher inspired by music, culture, and community, creating human-centered experiences where technology supports the moment rather than distracts from it.

about me 〰️
As a first generation Brazilian American, I think a lot about accessibility, belonging, and creating experiences that feel welcoming and human. I’m interested in designing in a way that helps people feel more connected to where they are and who they’re with, without technology getting in the way.
Outside of design, I spend a lot of time exploring music, whether that’s finding new artists or getting into older ones, especially 90s rock. I also love pop culture, traveling, and experiencing new places and cultures. I’m especially drawn to past eras and enjoy thinking about how those influences can be reworked into something that feels relevant today, which often carries into my work.
Projects
Mimi’s Mirror Trail
An interactive mirror trail designed during my study abroad internship, created for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to turn the city into a playful, reflective experience for children.
CARTrivia
Designed as a playful checkout intervention, CARTrivia introduces a memory-based step that prompts users to recall items in their cart, encouraging more intentional and mindful purchasing.
